Hand Engraving

Hand Engraving is a wonderful way to add a beautiful unique design to your gift and make it truly one-of-a-kind.

It can be done on a variety on surfaces such as glas, stone, selected metals, woods and leather leaving a permanent and luxurious impression.

The calligraphy message or illustration (Logo, florals etc.) is hand engraved using a small and silent micro drill. You can choose a metallic wax to finish the look.

What is hand engraving and how does it work?

Hand engraving is the process of carving a design onto a solid surface by hand without the use of a laser.

After I receive your enquiry I make a few drafts of the design to see what works best on the product and make sure everything is balanced. Then I hand engrave the calligraphy or illustration using a small micro drill. After the engraving is finished the design can be filled with various metallic wax finishes to make your product even more elegant. 

Please notice that metallic wax finishes are not suitable on products that are heavily washed (e.g cups, wine glasses etc.) as they come off over time.

Is the end product permanent?

Yes! Engraving is the art of permanently etching a design into a hard surface.
